DIGITEL Powers Pacific Online

Digital Telecommunications Philippines (Digitel) recently entered into a partnership with Pacific Online Systems Corporation for its Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network (IPVPN) via Wireless solutions. This IP-based service belongs to the wide range of telecommunications services offered by Digitel to corporate markets under its Corporate Solutions brand.
 

Mr. Charles A. Lim, Digitel BU CEO is pleased with Pacific Online's choice of Digitel as one of its telco partners. “Our commitment is to provide them with the service they can depend on as they continue to grow their business interests,” he enthused.
 

With an area coverage that spans almost a thousand cities and municipalities in Visayas and Mindanao, Pacific Online partners with global suppliers of integrated gaming systems and leases equipment to the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office for the company’s online lottery operations. It is primarily engaged in the development, design, and management of online computer systems, terminals and software for the Philippine gaming industry. 

“With our IPVPN via Wireless Solutions, we provide Pacific Online with a secured connectivity, mobility within the wireless network coverage area and reliable redundancy solution that is easy and fast to deploy,” Mr. Roderick Liwanag, Vice President of Corporate Sales shares.

DIGITEL Powers the Philippine Military Academy
 


Digital Telecommunications Inc. (Digitel) recently signed an agreement with the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) for a 4Mbps Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) service to power its campus and fulfill the Internet requirements of its students. DIA is the premium Internet service of Corporate Solutions, Digitel’s brand for its corporate customers.

BGen Virgilio Domingo AFP, Assistant Superintendent of PMA, pointed out that the government intends to pursue the technological improvement of PMA. “Our vision is to make our PMA Cadets become more competitive against cadets from other countries,” he shares.  As part of Digitel’s commitment to support this vision, the network offers reliable solutions such as making fast and reliable telecom facilities available to PMA. In his speech, Mr. Roderick Liwanag, Vice President for Corporate Sales of Digitel, highlighted the investments that the company made to ensure the best quality of service for its customers especially to PMA.

After the contract signing,  a film showing was held that featured PMA as a premier government institution developing leadership and promoting good character values among its students. PMA also extended a courtesy tour of the naval and air force training facilities, including the respective flight and nautical simulators that are powered by the 4Mbps Digitel DIA service. Digitel is also currently working on providing the premier government institution with other services for its cadets, officers, and the whole PMA community.

DIGITEL Clients Watch Pacquiao vs. Clottey Live at Outback Makati

The rise of Manny Pacquiao into stardom is nothing short of remarkable. His influence has gone beyond the boxing ring and has attracted casual fans all over the world. Hailed by many as the “Most Exciting Boxer of All Time,” every boxing match with him is always a sure hit. 

Last March 14, 2010, Digital Telecommunications Philippines (Digitel), a major telecommunications company, invited its clients to a live preview of the Pacquiao versus Clottey boxing match, entitled The Event, at the Makati branch of Outback Steakhouse. The venue held a full house as avid Pacquiao fans kept an eye on every punch and turn of events. Breakfast and drinks were also served to the guests as they cheered for their favorite boxing icon. Representatives from Verizon, Jollibee, SM, BPI, Landbank, Metrobank, Citibank, Teleperformance among many others watched the fight along with members of Digitel Corporate Solutions group.

DIGITEL DSL Plus Teens Got Talent

Patterned after the hit reality show "Britain's Got Talent", this series of mall events in Bulacan, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Laguna, and Batangas didn't fail to awe thousands of mall goers and locals as talented teens aged 13 to 19 years old battled it out on center stage. DIGITEL DSL Plus endorsers Jane Oineza, Joshua Dionisio, and Eliza Pineda of the ABS-CBN TV show Kung Fu Kids, as well as John Manalo of the movie, Caregiver, and Makisig Morales of the hit show, Super Inggo, also joined the grand celebration of talents.
